Gio: In Progress...

I started working on this after watching THIS VIDEO of Gio Black Peter performing, and thought it was such an iconic look for him.

As usual, due to my own repressed emotions, his face isn't really showing much emotion (a common problem with my drawings).  I'm going to try to work on that, also maybe try to make it actually somewhat LOOK like him.  My neck started aching a bit and my stomach growling, so I'm going to put it aside for tonight and work on it tomorrow.

Matthew Gray Gubler - Esque

Here we have someone who resembles Matthew Gray Gubler from afar if you squint, perhaps his stand-in?

This may have been just an opportunity for me to stare at his picture...you know, for details and the like...

I'm pretty sure I've recycled that "joke" from another drawing I did.

So I'm watching Criminal Minds last night on ION and in this episode, Dr. Reid draws a sketch of someone he thinks might be a suspect and it was actually one of Matthew's drawings.  I recognized it as his work right away.  Funny note:  On one of his older posts on his website about shooting the pilot of Criminal Minds, he said they cut his hair and it looked like Crispin Glover from Back To The Future.  I laughed.  George had a pretty spectacular 'do and I'm pretty sure I was crushing on him also...

Whirling Dervish

Beautiful, awe-inspiring, but creepy as hell.  The trance, the otherworldly look of them...they gives me the slight willies but I still find them intoxicating.  A couple of whirling dervishes.

Nose: Reconstructed...

My whirling dervish had to undergo a nose job, as the original looked entirely jacked up.  So I sat around and stared at it, considered how nostrils are actually shaped and came up with a slightly better version.

Back Alley Bojanek

"2000 crowns is a good deal.  I'm clean and I'm great at what I do," explained Bojanek.

"So, uh, why's that sign in English?" asked the client.

"Unplanned continent shift, I suppose..." replied Bojanek.

"And why aren't we speaking Czech?" asked the client.

"Google Translator is slipshot at best," replied Bojanek.

Magic Marker Crucifixion

Pardon me while I come down from my marker induced high...I can fly!!
